Malvani Style Bangda Fry

Foodie Maharashtra
Malvani Style Bangda Fry

India Mackerel very commonly called as Bangda is one of those few fish which are considered best when it comes to taste. This fish is served in various forms of recipes, of which Bandga Pickel, bangda fry, bangda curry are very common. You'll also find dried form of this fish very much used in maharashtrian kokani non-veg recipes. Fried bangda fish served with hot steamed rice and dal tastes splendid. It is very important to note that the fish should be fresh so as to enjoy its taste to the fullest. The best way to check whether the fish is fresh or not is by looking at its gills (small opening near the head under which you'll find slits) which should appear red in colour.
This recipe shared with you all is an authentic malvani recipe made prevalently in Kokan region of Maharashtra.
